Dr. Lora Bailey has spent the last 22 years teaching, researching and serving the early childhood community on state, national and international levels. Lora earned a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University, and earned membership into the elustrious Holmes Scholar program, as only the third doctoral candidate to earn such a designation.
Dr. Bailey has served in various professional capacities, most notably are positions such as Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina, Associate Professor and Program Chair at Auburn University, dean at Indiana University Northwest, and currently, Director for Research Development at Virginia State UIniversity.
Over the course of Dr. Bailey's career, she has been awarded over $7.5 million dollars in federal and state grants, garnered to investigate teaching and learning across early mathematics and STEM disciplines. Lora is highly regarded as a published author of dozens of peer-reviewed articles, and four books written to disseminate findings that stem from her reserach investigations.
