Dr. Yvette Bynum is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies at The University of Alabama. She serves as the program coordinator for the Education Specialist certification program in Instructional Leadership. Her experiences in education spanned more than 25 years with 10 years in higher education and 15 years in PK-12 education in Macon and Montgomery County Public Schools (AL) including 6 years in administration.
Dr. Bynum has received several college-wide service awards for outstanding work with students. She currently works as a certified mentor coach trainer with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), Past-President of the Southern Regional Council on Educational Administration (SRCEA), and Co-Investigator on a multimillion-dollar grant, Leadership for Character (LFC) project funded by the Kern Family Foundation and Alabama Superintendent’s Academy.
