Dr. Sherika Dacres is an author, researcher, and scholar, whose ongoing research includes examining the phenomenon of teacher burnout, best practices for working with and supporting English Language Learners and diverse learners. Her additional work also looks at best practices and support for teacher preparation programs.
Dr. Dacres is also a prominent advocate for educational equity. With a solution-focused and growth mindset, Dr. Dacres seeks to work collaboratively with stakeholders within and outside of the education realm, with the aim of dismantling educational inequities and to develop and implement intentional and practical steps to narrow the achievement gap among Black and Brown skinned students and the underserved/ marginalized populations.
