Dr. Sara Skretta is the Senior Director of Accreditation, Placement & Licensure in the College of Education & Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In her almost 30-year career in education, she has been a P-12 teacher and administrator before moving to the University in roles associated with clinical placement. She also holds a courtesy assistant professor appointment in Education Administration. Dr. Skretta's collaborates with the Nebraska Department of Education and school districts related to policy, workforce development and professional development. Her focus on educator workforce shortage issues led to her selection as the facilitator for two national shortage summits, serving as co-chair of the Nebraska Educator Shortage Steering Committee, and chair of the Educator Shortage Summit 2.0 planning committee. She is currently the President of the Nebraska Council on Teacher Education and co-chair of the AACTE membership Committee, and is a past President of the Nebraska Assocation of Colleges for Teacher Education.
