Sarah Schneider Kavanagh is an Associate Professor of Teacher Education at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. She is also the director of the Collaboratory for Teaching & Teacher Education, a research center dedicated to fostering research and discourse that strengthens the teaching profession. Her research aims to better understand designs for teacher learning that keep the practice of teaching at the center of learning to teach and she has a particular interest in studying teacher learning opportunities that are oriented towards nurturing inquiry-driven, justice-focused, student-centered teaching.
