Dr. Chandra Díaz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education and teaches and advises the Middle Level Education majors at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her work is grounded in teacher preparation with a focus on adolescents, culturally sustaining pedagogies, and trauma-sensitive approaches. These interests inform her teaching as well. Her classes include the history, behavior management, and assessment in middle schools These groundings inform her teaching and service through advocacy for vulnerable and historically marginalized populations by elevating the voice of young people and historically marginalized people.
