Dr. Robin Dada is the department head for Curriculum & Instruction and the interim head for Special Education at the University of Northern Iowa College of Education. Dr. Dada began her career as an informal educator as a high school student who led 4-H clubs in rural Oregon. She later became certified as a teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in Oregon and Alaska and worked in public education for thirteen years before moving to academia. She has worked with curriculum reform since the 90s in the USA and continued focusing on access to high-quality education during the next eighteen years in the UAE. Dr. Dada has engaged in research on women’s leadership, the education of women in science and mathematics, educational development in the Middle East and USA, and quality assurance and accreditation in the global academic environment. Dr. Dada continues to work with increasing pathways to teaching for greater access, particularly for nontraditional students. She has published various chapters, articles, working papers, and books. Dr. Dada received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon.
