Dr. Amanda Steiner is an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dr. Steiner’s research includes examining the role of the instructional coach to support retention and teachers in growing in their self-efficacy. Dr. Steiner also conducts research in the area of cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of children, especially in the area of STEM and nature play. She began her career as a primary Montessori teacher and helped pioneer the use of instructional coaches in field based experiences at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
