Dr. PaQuita Austin Morgan is currently employed by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) as the Director of Program Approval. PaQuita brings to this role fifteen years of experience as a GaPSC Education Specialist, along with a wealth of knowledge and deep expertise in education. Prior to joining the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in August of 2008, PaQuita worked with the Atlanta Public School System for eleven years in various school and district level positions. PaQuita has served as an elementary school teacher, instructional specialist, comprehensive school reform instructional facilitator and model teacher leader. PaQuita received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College in Child Development with a minor in Early Childhood Education. PaQuita received her Masters of Education degree in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 2019, PaQuita earned a Doctorate degree in School Improvement with a Concentration in Teacher Leadership from the University of West Georgia. PaQuita maintains her Georgia Teacher and Leadership Certifications. PaQuita is the mother of one son, Solomon William.
