Assistant Professor
Tarleton State University
Crystal Dail Rose first began her work with preservice teachers at Tarleton State University in 2019, where she taught almost every course in their curriculum. After graduating with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Language, Diversity, and Literacy Studies from Texas Tech University in 2020, she dove into the work of simultaneously planning, piloting, and building a yearlong residency with the Tarleton State US PREP Leadership Team, while serving in various capacities as Site Coordinator, Assistant Professor, Research Lead, Curriculum Redesigner, and edTPA Regional Coordinator. She is passionate about her work building agency in preservice teachers as they teach in a year-long residency in partner districts. Her research interests lie in practice based teaching, coaching, observation, and assessment as a way to challenge preservice teachers to engage multicultural, multilingual learners and to be day one ready to serve all students.
