Amy Jurica is the Outreach Manager for the Research Enterprise & Outreach office in the School of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University. She received her Master of Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and her Bachelor of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University.
Growing up in Caldwell, Texas, Amy has worked in the field of education for over 33 years. Having taught in the public schools in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and then in various private schools in the Houston area, Amy also was a principal for 9 years. She is certified in the state of Texas as a classroom teacher, a principal, and a licensed director of early childhood centers.
As Outreach Manager, Amy is passionate about the opportunities her position entails. In particular, she enjoys working to support faculty researchers at a Texas A&M to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, such as schools, agencies, and others in the community. In addition, she supports novice teachers working as their university field supervisor during the clinical teaching phase of their certification. Her areas of interest include early childhood and rural education, as well as teacher preparation.
