Carlyn Ludlow is a Clinical Associate Professor and the Undergraduate Program Associate Director at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. She has been a classroom teacher, an associate professor and program chair, an assistant dean, and a research/curriculum consultant for schools, businesses, and government agencies during her tenure in education. Carlyn Ludlow has been recognized by districts, state agencies, and private corporations for her research, publications, and presentations in these areas. She is a twice-honored university faculty member of the year and a recipient of a university distinguished contribution award. Her current work focuses on teacher preparation and certification curriculum, first-year student success, and preservice teacher support and retention. Her teaching interests include equity, diversity, and multiculturalism for teacher candidates and the impacts of our nation’s historical, political, and ideological underpinnings on today’s education systems.
