Dr. Bisogno is currently the Associate Dean of the College of Education at Northeastern State University, Professor of Special Education, and Treasurer for the Oklahoma Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (OACTE). She has served on the Government Relations and Advocacy Committee for AACTE over the past several years and chaired the committee for the past two years. Dr. Bisogno graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education and she received her Ph.D. in Leadership and Education from Barry University in Miami, FL. Dr. Bisogno was named Barry University's Distinguished Alumni for Collaborative Service in 2021. She taught in the public-school setting for approximately nine years as a teacher of students with mild/moderate disabilities and severe/profound disabilities in the states of Florida and Alabama. Her area of expertise and research is in working with children with Autism. Dr. Bisogno loves instilling her passion of teaching children with disabilities to others and advocating for the teacher preparation programs she supports within her administrative role in higher education.
