Elizabeth R. Hinde is Professor and Founding Dean of the School of Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Nationally recognized for Excellence and Innovation, MSU Denver is the second largest producer of teachers in the state of Colorado. Previously, Dr. Hinde was Director of the Division of Teacher Preparation at Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College where she now is Emerita. Dr. Hinde began her career and was trained as a teacher. She taught elementary school for 20 years in Mesa, Arizona, before entering into higher education. Along with her work in teacher education, she specializes in social studies education, particularly in integrating social studies across the curriculum. A featured speaker and presenter at many conferences and meetings, she is also the author of over 50 publications.
