Krystal Lewis-Pratl is a clinical coordinator for the PULSE (paraprofessionals unlocking licensure in special education) program at Illinois State University. Lewis-Pratl earned her doctorate in special education from Illinois State University in 2021. Her research interests include teacher preparation, culturally responsive practices, and disproportionality in special education. Prior to working in higher education, Lewis-Pratl earned National Board Certification in special education and taught middle-level learners with high-incidence disabilities.
