Lidia Herrera-Rocha is an assistant professor of instruction of bilingual education and a site coordinator at the University of Texas at El Paso. Her research focuses on persistence and resilience among Latinx students in STEM, bilingual education programs in the U.S.-Mexico border, and emergent bilinguals’ languaging practices and identities. As a site coordinator in the department of teacher education, she coaches and supports pre-service teachers during their yearlong residency at a local school campus.
