Rebecca Bowman is a 2015 graduate of Liberty University with an Ed.D. in Teaching and Learning. She also holds a Masters in Educational Leadership and Bachelors in Middle Grades Education. She has been an educator for 20 years in Georgia and currently works with preservice and current educators in the areas of fine arts and music integration, science and social studies methods, STEM-based education, and visible learning.
Rebecca has a passion for research in the areas of parental involvement and gifted education. She recently presented on the approach of using fine arts to assess students in core subjects. She has worked on research in the areas of student retention policies, approaches to encouraging females in STEM-based activities, the perceptions of teachers on the use of social emotional learning, and teacher efficacy in virtual learning environments through the pandemic.
Ultimately, however, Rebecca has a passion for helping students through building relationships and reaching the unreachable students. She believes by understanding students and their backgrounds, great strides can be made both with their educational and emotional goals. While potential may be hidden, it is not untraceable.
