Jaclyn Nickel, Executive Director of External Initiative for the College of Education at James Madison University, is in her thirty-third year as a professional educator. Jaclyn completed her Bachelor of Science degree in English and History at Central Michigan University. She spent 15 years in classrooms teaching English, social studies, and physical education ranging from middle to high school. Jaclyn earned her Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Shenandoah University and has served in a variety of school leadership and administrative roles in elementary, middle, and high schools. She worked for the Virginia Department of Education in the role of a Training and Technical Assistant Center Consultant at JMU for 10 years supporting school quality and improvement efforts.
