I am an associate professor of social studies education. My interests include the implicit curriculum of authority in classrooms, global citizenship education, and working with issues of whiteness and racism in teacher education. Prior to completing my PhD in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education at Michigan State University, I taught both middle and high school in Washington DC. I am also a mother, runner and someone who attempts to garden.
