Michael Kokozos is an Associate Director of Teaching, Learning, & Historical Foundations at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his role at Penn, Dr. Kokozos is a curriculum consultant for North Carolina State University and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. He has taught courses in culture and society in Turkey, Greece, and Canada and currently teaches at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His research focuses on inclusive learning environments and human rights education. In addition, he is a part of #PassTheMicYouth, a youth-led podcast and blog that aims to amplify youth voices, shine a spotlight on youth activism, and provide educators with resources for cultivating critical consciousness. He is co-authoring a book, Teaching Storytelling in Classrooms & Communities: Amplifying Student Voices and Inspiring Social Change.
