Senior Director of Teacher Education
San Juan College
ElizaBeth Utley is the Senior Director of Teacher Education at San Juan College. She provides administrative oversight for curriculum and instruction for the educator preparation programs at San Juan College. She works collaboratively with local districts to enhance the preparation of the next generation of educators and leaders. She is actively working to provide support for future educators that extends outside of their college preparation in order to improve teacher effectiveness and retention.
Prior to her position with San Juan College, ElizaBeth spent eight years with Bloomfield Public Schools (New Mexico) where she served as an elementary teacher, mentor, and was also a member of several committees including leadership and curriculum development.
ElizaBeth holds a Level III Elementary License with a TESOL endorsement from the State of New Mexico. She earned her Elementary Education Alternative Licensure certificate from San Juan College in 2015. She has a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in E-Learning, Northcentral University, 2000 and Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Public Relations, Northern Arizona University, 1990. ElizaBeth is currently working on her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Liberty University Graduate School.
