Dr. Sandra Rodriguez, Associate Professor, Chair, Department of Teacher Education, Northern New Mexico College
Has worked for over 30 years as an educator in the state of New Mexico and has served in a variety of capacities gaining broad experience in the areas of curriculum and program development, program implementation, program monitoring and program assessment. Earned a PhD in Childhood and Multicultural Teacher Education, BA in Education, MA in Education-At Risk Youth, Center for Creative Leadership-Certificate, John F. Kennedy School of Government-Harvard University (Leadership Development), St. Norbert College-Theological Studies.

Complete Report 2020- Wage Theft and Subminimum Wages, Complete Report 2018- Elderly Abuse in NM
-Hispanic Education Act Advisory Council-Community Advocate –Appointed (2011-2021),
-Successfully developed and managed online teaching programs for Northern New Mexico College and College of Santa Fe
- Earned the highest honor in teaching award at Northern New Mexico College and at College of Santa Fe’s Fairfax Award for Excellence in Teaching
-Provided training for ~350 teachers while directing a Reading Endorsement online program.
-Served as a keynote speaker and presenter at over 25 local and national conferences addressing
educational issues
-Led efforts to pass major legislation in New Mexico for Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher candidates.
-Negotiated multiple articulation agreements between colleges to attain recognition for specific
coursework as well as establish transition programs for Bachelor’s degrees.
-Licensed teacher in the state of New Mexico since 1990.
