Assistant Superintendent
Clint Independent School District
Jennifer Parker is completing her 34th year in public education where she has served as teacher, instructional coach, principal, and currently supervises elementary principals and supports strategic staffing in her role as Assistant Superintendent in Clint ISD. While serving as a campus principal she pioneered the partnership between her elementary school and the University of Texas at El Paso which provided opportunities for pre-service teachers to hold college coursework classes on her elementary campus for "in field" experiences. This partnership helped to enhance a culture of learning throughout the building and made the idea of college a reality for her students. This work has continued on a different scale with the Miner Teacher Residency Program where they are currently on their third cohort of Residents with the first cohort now in classrooms of their own. She values the importance of a highly qualified teacher in every classroom and that begins with highly qualified mentors.
