University Induction Coordinator/Lead Coach

Angela Adams is a veteran public school teacher, having taught middle school science for twenty years. For the past five years she has served on the Leadership and Development Team of the Carolina Teacher Induction Program (CarolinaTIP) out of the University of South Carolina’s College of Education. In roles as both the University Induction Coordinator and the Lead Coach, she has worked with teachers and coaches in addition to acting as a bridge between the program and the College of Ed, all in the name of increasing teacher retention. Angela is National Board Certified (and re-certified) in Early Adolescence: Science, is a certified instructional coach, evaluator, and mentor, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University and an M.Ed in Teacher Leadership from Southern Wesleyan University. In her roles as teacher and coach she has presented professional development on the school, district, and state levels. As the spouse of a current public school teacher and the mother of two public school students, she is an advocate for all classrooms to have a qualified, joyful teacher at the helm!
