Catherine J. Nelson, EdD (she/her/hers)

Professor
University of St. Francis

Dr. Catherine Nelson is a Professor in the College of Education at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. She has taught there for 20 years in the undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program. Dr. Nelson teaches classes in Instructional Planning and Assessment, Methods of Teaching Elementary School Mathematics, and Methods of Educational Research. She is also a supervisor in the field for student teachers. Her research interests include teacher leadership, assessment, and problem solving in mathematics.
