Stacy Cook-LaPointe is a researcher, educator, and writer. Her research interests focus on early childhood teacher preparation, trauma-informed practices, strengthening families, and community and family engagement. In addition, she is curious about the impact of reflective practices on early childhood teacher preparation. As an Ed. D. student in Education and Human Development, Inclusive Early Childhood Education at the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Education & Human Development, she is a research assistant for a teacher quality national grant. She teaches courses in early childhood, teacher preparation, and child development at the Metropolitan State University of Denver and the University of Colorado Denver. She has spent twenty-five years working in early childhood education, family support, community engagement, and systems building.
