Jared R. Powell, M.A.

Teacher/Academic Success Coordinator
Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts

Jared Powell has been a public school teacher for the past 21 years in the states of New Mexico, Michigan, and Colorado. He has mentored numerous teaching candidates and teachers new to the profession and has worked with the University of Colorado, Denver program for the past five years. For the past seven years, Jared has taught English and Humanities at the Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts (MESA), an EL school in the northern Denver metro area. He currently lives in Golden, Colorado with his wife (also a public school teacher) and their two young daughters.
