Dr. Lara Bronson serves as the Assistant Dean of the School of Education at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Besides her administrative duties, she teaches undergraduate students in general Education courses and in both the Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education programs.
Other professional involvements include being the educator licensing officer for the University, supervising student teachers, advising Education majors, and leading Education student trips to Haiti and Northern Ireland. Bronson's dissertation research focused on family literacy.
Prior to coming to Northwestern, Bronson taught kindergarten for many years. She is currently a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Association of Elementary School Principals, and serves as Past President of the Minnesota Kindergarten Association. Her interests include reading and writing children's literature, game nights, swimming, running & being outdoors, musical theater, and spending time with her flavorful and fun-loving family.
