Christopher Rivera

Professor
East Carolina University

Dr. Christopher Rivera is a Professor in the Department of Special Education, Foundations, and Research (SEFR). He also serves as a Regional Director for the North Carolina New Teacher Support program where he works alongside instructional coaches to support nearly 200 beginning teachers across Eastern, NC. Dr. Rivera has nearly 20 years of experience as a special educator. His research has focused on working with students who have extensive support needs, particularly those who are culturally and linguistically diverse.
