Birth-Kindergarten Internship Coordinator

Ashley Norris is an Instructor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education and master’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University. In addition to her role as faculty, she is the Internship Coordinator in the Birth-Kindergarten Program at East Carolina University. She establishes partnerships with clinical teachers and districts across the state hosting interns in the Birth-Kindergarten Education Program.
Ms. Norris has been an educator for more than 18 years and served in a variety of roles in academia. She currently serves as the Special Projects Assistant Director for the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program, which is a comprehensive, university-based induction program.
