Dean, College of Education
Doane Unversity
I serve as the Dean of the College of Education at Doane University. I am an active member of the Nebraska Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (NACTE), serving in a leadership role from 2021-23. I have a passion for teacher education. My research has included a variety of teacher education and special education topics. I have presented at AACTE, ISTE, CEC, and other national and state conferences.
Prior to serving as Dean, I was a member of the faculty at Doane and at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. I received my Ph.D. in 2005 from Indiana University in Bloomington in Special Education, with areas of emphasis in Teacher Education, Instructional Systems Technology, and Mild/Moderate Disabilities. I am also a proud Doane alumnus with my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2000 and my B.A. in Special Education in 1997. I have held teaching licenses in Nebraska, Indiana, and Kansas in special education.
