Todd Goodson began his teaching career in 1982 as a teacher of English, speech, and journalism in a small country high school in northwest Missouri. Since that time, he has taught every level from seventh grade through Ph.D. students. He has taught in rural, urban, and suburban public school districts, and he has held university faculty appointments in Education and Arts and Sciences. He has also directed two sites of the National Writing Project. Currently, he serves as Chair of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and Associate Dean of Teacher Education and Accreditation at Kansas State University. He holds the Lydia Skeen Endowed Chair in Education at Kansas State University.
