Dr. Reenay R. H. Rogers, Professor of Education, serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Education. More recently, she has also assumed the role of Executive Director of the Center for Rural Education. Dr. Rogers has previously served as the Director of Assessment and Evaluation for the College of Education Chair of Instructional Leadership & Support and Chair of Teaching & Learning. In this capacity, she has successfully managed two different departments within the College of Education, developed new assessment instruments, and managed the College’s data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
Dr. Rogers actively engages in grant writing and research. She has served as principal investigator on two Minority Science and Engineering Program Improvement grants and a Noyce Scholarship grant, Implementing Novel STEM Practices in Rural Education (INSPIRE). Additionally, she serves as the internal evaluator for Project REACh, Residencies for Educating Alabama’s Children and the Black Belt STEM Institute, and PI on UWA-Teach, a state grant initiative. Research interests include rural education, online education, technology integration for enhanced student achievement, teacher preparation, and STEM education.
