Tamara Pack is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Dept of Teacher Education at Lander University in Greenwood , SC. She is the director of Teaching Fellows and Teacher Cadet as well as the liaison for Technical Students who want to transfer to Lander. She also coordinates programs including mentoring, outreach, education, training, resources for the community, families, and K-12 education.
She began her career as an educator in the Vermont Public School system and became a literacy and math coach as well as a curriculum co-constructor of curriculum and standards for the state. Pack has worked in community outreach programs for more than 15 years and school-based community partnerships for 10 years, and is passionate about mentoring first-year teachers.
She has published on topics relative to education and standardized testing. Pack has served on several national and state education associations and continues to seek other organizations that support her passion for lifelong learning.
