Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Strategic Engagement

Dr. Loleta D. Sartin is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Strategic Engagement in the Tift College of Education. She has worked in education for over 25 years, beginning as a fourth-grade teacher in New Orleans Public Schools in New Orleans, Louisiana. Later accepting a position at Drury University as director of the Developmental School Program, coordinating the partnership between Springfield Public Schools, Drury, and Yale University, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Springfield, MO. She then moved to Macon, GA, to accept a position at Middle Georgia State University (MGA), where she served as faculty, Chair of the Department of Teacher Education and Social Work, and Associate Dean of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Sartin has presented numerous state and national presentations, published articles, authored a book chapter, and amassed over 10.3 million dollars in grant funds. She serves on the board of Mount de Sales Academy, Southeastern Association of School University Partnerships, and AACTE.
