Dr. Boyd-Robinson currently serves as Director of Teacher Education & Clinical Practice at The University of Memphis and as Professor in the Instruction & Curriculum Leadership (ICL) Department. In her previous position, she was associate professor and SOE Diversity Officer at the University of Mississippi. She worked there for 15 years and is also a proud alumna. Her research interests are: closing the opportunity gap for African American children, keeping the principles of the Civil Rights Movement relevant with pre and in-service teachers, implementing culturally responsive practices into teacher education programs, and diversifying the teacher pipeline. She loves presenting at conferences and working with K-12 teachers to improve instruction for students, but her first love is teaching and preparing future teachers.
