Rachel A. Ayieko, Ph.D.

Associate Professor
Duquesne University

Rachel Ayieko is an associate professor in Mathematics Education in the Department of Instruction & Leadership in Education and the Director of the Institute for Citizens & Scholars - WW Teaching Fellowship Residency Program for STEM teachers at Duquesne University. Her recent research focuses on pre-service and beginning teachers' opportunities to teach mathematics in urban contexts. She also studies the influence of building mentorship practices with practicing teachers using the educative mentorship framework.
