Dr. Gretchen McAllister is an associate professor of teaching and learning where she prepared K-8 educators and oversees the Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction program. Over the last 15 years she has been involved in using simulations both face to face and online to foster culturally responsive teaching and decisionmaking skills. Some of this work is now commencially available through Schoolsims. In addition, her work includes the development of curriculum to help social studies educators examine content through. multiple perspectives as well as racialized spaces and history.
