Dr. LaToya Thomas Adams is an educator of 25 years. She graduated from Columbia College-
Bachelors of Arts in Education; Lesley University-Masters of Arts in Curriculum and
Instruction; Cambridge College- Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and
Administration; and Walden University- Doctorate in Teacher Leadership. Her professional roles
have included, Elementary and Middle School teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Elementary
Principal Coach, Director of Early Childhood and Elementary, Director of Curriculum and
Instruction, and most recently Director of Human Resources.
LaToya has presented on both the national and state levels for education with topics to include
but not limited to; early childhood, curriculum and instruction, and teaching and learning. She
has been recognized as Teacher of the Year, Hero Behind the Scenes, Golden Apple Teacher, and
Distinguished Associate Professor to name a few. She has been recognized as a Young Author in the Community.
Her public education experiences led her to work in higher education and secure positions such as Adjunct Faculty, Associate Faculty, and
Content Reader-Content Specialist for dissertation committees.
She resides in Columbia, her hometown with her husband Cedrick and their dog, Caleb.
