Tria Grant has served South Carolina students and teachers for over 20 years at the school, district, and state levels. She is currently the director of the Carolina Collaborative for Alternative Preparation (CarolinaCAP), an alternative certification pathway addressing diverse teacher recruitment, preparation, and retention in SC public school systems. She previously taught middle and elementary school, was a math interventionist, and coordinator of educator effectiveness in districts across South Carolina. Her state-level roles include serving as teacher-in-residence and program director at the Center for Educator Recruitment Retention and Advancement (CERRA-SC) and a program associate for educator effectiveness at the South Carolina Department of Education. Tria is committed to collaborating with educators, policymakers, and education advocates to ensure all students have access to quality educational opportunities.
