Dr. Luke Bennett is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University. With an educational career spanning almost 3 decades, Luke has served as an educator and a leader within the field. Luke's journey began in the ever-changing landscape of K-12 education, where he served in both classroom and administrative roles. His time in the K-12 arena laid the foundation for his transition into higher education, where he strives to inspire and empower the generation of educators. Within the higher education space, Luke has served as a researcher, faculty, and instructional designer. He has experience designing and delivering a diverse array of graduate and undergraduate courses while leveraging the potential of online, blended, and face-to-face learning environments. His expertise has also extended to the programmatic level.
Dr. Bennett’s scholarship includes various facets of management and pedagogy within emerging learning environments, in-service and pre-service teachers' motivations for teaching online, and programmatic micro-credentialing. He has contributed on regional, national, and international levels and strives to understand the transformative power of technology in education in a way that helps both educators and students reach their full potential.
